Review: BlueFit M2 Bluetooth Earbuds in 2023

Our Overview

bluefit m2 earphones

What we liked:
Bottom line, these BlueFit bluetooth earbuds have great features for an incredibly low price.

Battery life (9/10).

The BlueFit earbuds have an extra large battery of 180 mAh that results in a maximum playback time of up to 12h and stand by time of 400 hours. It lasts for the full work day in addition to your back and forth commute. What more could you ask for?

It is charged in about two hours. When the device is paired with the phone, you can monitor the battery status of the earphones onscreen. Near the top of the screen you can see battery level as being either high, medium or low. Whenever the battery is close to draining out, you also will hear an audio alert.

Be advised that it is not recommended to leave the earphones charging overnight what can reduce lifetime of a battery.

Waterproof (7/10).

As one of our important requirements is that they’re suitable for an active lifestyle, how good would earbuds be if they were not waterproof ?So how good are these earphones in terms of water resistance? Well, not bad, actually.

As most good sport headphones, these are fully sweatproof. Manufacturer has tested them and have put under water for 30 minutes and they still work well. But these are not recommended to use for swimming. So, BlueFit would take care of your intense workout at the gym for example or for running, but not for impersonating Michael Phelps.

Unexpected rain is not an issue also if you are out jogging, because the earbuds are IPX7 sweat-proof and waterproof.

Technology

BlueFit M2 earphones use a bluetooth v4.1 technology to connect to other bluetooth devices such as Apple, Android phones or other devices supporting this kind of connection. The distance of connection is up to 30 feet (10 meters), but no objects should be in between to minimize interference. Can you pair these to two devices at once? No, not these.

To pair your headphones with a bluetooth device you should press and hold middle button for few seconds to make it visible and available for connection in the bluetooth menu on your phone.

When earphones are on and open for connection, they will flash red and blue. Once they are connected with your phone, you will notice only the blue light blinking every seven seconds or so.

Noise Cancellation

The Bluefit M2 earbuds are also equipped with CVC 6.0 noise cancellation. It’s passive cancellation (not active), but it helps to support clear voice conversations and reduces noise from the outside. But you would be a little disappointed if expecting high level noise reduction from surroundings.

Controls and functions.

These earbuds also have controls to answer calls, control the volume, in addition to skip, pause and play tracks. This means you don’t have to pull your device out in the middle of an enthusiastic run.

Sound quality

While it’s good and above our expectations for this price point, true sound connoisseurs would be a bit disappointed. But then you would have to spend a to more to get top notch sound quality.

If you want to get the best basses, you should keep earbuds deep in your ears. But during running and other actions it is not possible. So basses are satisfactory for active use and quite good for still listening. While in conversation, we did not find mute functionality included with controls.

What’s in the box? In the package you’ll get:
– earphones itself
– carrying bag
– USB to micro USB charging cable
– 3 different sizes of earpieces
– manual

What we didn’t like:
– Description claiming CVC 6.0 noise cancellation that would lead the reader to believe that it has active noise cancellation, which is not true. It is passive with CVC 6.0 feature.

– While examining user reviews across several platforms, there were a few complaints of faulty earphones. Of course they were swiftly replaced by the manufacturer without issue.
